This 10ml syringe contains isolated Psilocybe zapotecorum liquid culture of the strain “Popocatépetl Volcano”. The strain comes from the Popocatépetl Volcano region in Mexico.

About This Species

The species has a long history in Mexico, where indigenous communities have used it in ceremonies for centuries. It occurs in Central and South America. Therefore, it is a culturally significant species for mycologists to study.

Why Choose an Isolated Psilocybe Zapotecorum Culture?

An isolated culture comes from one selected line of mycelium. As a result, it grows in a more uniform and predictable way than a spore mix. In addition, isolation keeps the genetics of this “Popocatépetl Volcano” strain stable from one grow to the next.

How to Use Psilocybe Zapotecorum Liquid Culture

First, wipe the injection port with alcohol. Next, attach a sterile 18G needle and shake the syringe gently. Then inject the culture into sterilized grain. After that, keep the grain at a stable room temperature. Finally, store any leftover culture in the fridge at 2–8°C.

Tips for Clean Work

Work in a clean space and wear nitrile gloves. Also, inoculate in front of a flowhood if you have one. That way, you give this rare culture the best start.
