Why Wear an FFP2 Face Mask for Sterile Work in Mushroom Growing?

When you breathe or talk, you release tiny droplets with bacteria. Therefore, a mask helps keep your agar plates and grain clean. In addition, it protects you from dust and spores in the grow space.

How to Use It

1. First, put on a fresh mask before you start sterile work.
2. Next, press the nose clip for a close fit.
3. Then wear nitrile gloves as well.
4. Finally, replace the mask when it gets damp.

When to Wear an FFP2 Face Mask

Wear a mask whenever you open sterile items. For example, wear one while you pour or open agar plates, inject grain bags or mix spawn with substrate. In addition, wear one when you harvest, because mature mushrooms release many spores. As a result, both your cultures and your lungs stay protected.

Good to Know

Each pack holds 50 masks, so you can use a fresh one for every session. Also, store unused masks in a clean, dry place. That way, they stay clean until you need them.
