This grain spawn bag contains hydrated, sterilized corn in a Unicorn spawn bag with a 0.2 micron filter patch. The bag is ready to inoculate as soon as it arrives.
What Is Grain Spawn?
Grain spawn is grain that is fully colonized by mushroom mycelium. Growers mix it with bulk substrate to start a grow. Because corn kernels are large, each one carries plenty of energy. As a result, corn makes strong, fast grain spawn.
How to Make Grain Spawn with This Bag
- First, wipe the bag where you will inject with alcohol.
- Next, inject 5–10 ml of liquid culture with a sterile 18G needle.
- Then cover the hole with micropore tape or an injection port.
- After that, let the bag colonize at room temperature.
- Finally, mix the colonized grain with mushroom substrate.
