Unicorn bags are the industry-standard mushroom grow bags. You can autoclave and heat-seal them. Each bag has a filter patch that lets the mycelium breathe and keeps contaminants out.
Pick the right filter for the job. For grain spawn, choose a spawn bag with a fine 0.2 micron filter: the 3T, or the 10T with a built-in injection port. With the 10T, you can inoculate without opening the bag. For bulk substrate, choose a fruiting bag with a 5 micron filter. These Unicorn bags give more gas exchange. Options are the slim 10B, the 3B (48 x 20 cm) and the large XLS-B (60 x 24 cm).
Seal your bags airtight with our 400 mm impulse sealer. Or skip the prep and buy ready-made sterilized grain and substrate.
